High Protein Gluten Free Spicy Turkey Burgers

2015-10-02 22.27.53

These are my absolute favourite! I make a batch once a week and if you have ever caught sight of my instagram you know that I am partial to having them at any time of the day! Great at breakfast, served with scrambled egg whites and mushrooms. A quick fix at lunchtime with some sweet potato fries or a great dinner served with a vegetable medley and some sweet potato and plantain mash. Healthy does not have to be bland.

Ingredients
800g Turkey Breast Mince (I get a big tray from Asda)
6 Tablespoons Egg Whites
1 Large Red Onion
1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
28g Fat Reduced Coconut Flour (or gluten free flour of choice)
Tablespoon Mixed Herbs
5g Maldon Sea Salt
1 large Red or Green Chilli
1 scoop Natural Flavour Whey Precision Protein (optional)

1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees or gas mark 4
2. Finely chop onion and chillis and put into a bowl
3. Add all the other ingredients to the bowl and mix until combined

4. Divide the mix onto a large foiled baking tray using a quarter measuring cup
5. Bake until golden. The burgers sometimes stick and I have found that shuffling them around about 15 mins into cooking prevents this
6. Serve immediately or cool and freeze.
